For solar, battery and EV installers in Cornwall and Devon

Your customers' energy setup, done for you, in your name

You fit the kit. We make sure the customer gets the most from it: the right tariff before install, everything set up at handover, and someone answering their questions afterwards. It runs under your business name, so it's one less job on your list and one less thing to go wrong.

Where we fit into the job

Pick the stages you want help with. Most installers start with handover and add the rest once they've seen it work.

    1. Before install

    Getting the customer ready

    • Review their bills and usage so the quote shows realistic savings
    • Shortlist import and export tariffs that suit the kit you're quoting (Octopus Agile, Flux, Agile Outgoing, Intelligent Go)
    • Check the smart meter works, because half-hourly tariffs need one
    • Check the EV charger is compatible with Tap Electric if they want to charge others
    • Time the tariff switch so it lands when the system goes live

    2. Handover

    Setting it all up

    • Switch the tariff and apply for export payments using your MCS certificate
    • Set the battery to charge when power is cheap and export at peak, using Predbat against live prices and the solar forecast
    • Sign them up to Axle Energy so the grid pays them for flexibility events
    • Connect the EV charger to Tap Electric with pricing and payouts
    • Walk them through the apps, remotely or at the house

    3. First 90 days and after

    Keeping it working

    • A named contact for their questions, so they don't call your engineers
    • Savings check at 30 days, and again at 90 on the VIP package
    • Settings reset when tariffs or prices change
    • We pick up the "my battery isn't saving me money" calls

    It's your service, not ours

The customer deals with your business. We introduce ourselves as your energy setup team, use your name on emails and visits, and report back to you on every job.

    • You add it to your quote as your own line item and set the price
    • You keep the margin on every job, on top of the kit
    • No training, new staff or software for your team
    • Fewer callbacks, and customers who can see the savings they were promised

    Trade prices

The trade price is what we charge you per job. You set the customer price; the suggested price shows the kind of margin you could add.

    EV chargers and holiday lets

A charger that only charges the owner's car is a missed opportunity. With Tap Electric set up, the same charger can earn its keep.

    • Holiday lets: guests pay for the charging they use, and the owner gets paid out automatically
    • Homes: share the charger with neighbours or visitors at a set price
    • Company-car drivers: a record of home charging they can claim back

    Already supporting GivEnergy customers?

GivEnergy went into administration in April 2026, and owners are being told to contact their installer first. We can take on the tariff, settings and automation side of those calls for you. Hardware warranty claims stay outside what we do.

    How a job runs

    1. 1You add the package to your quote, under your name.
    2. 2For a readiness check, you send us the customer's details at quote stage. For handover packages, send the battery, inverter and charger models, the MCS certificate, meter details and the customer's contact.
    3. 3We contact the customer as your team and set everything up, remotely or on site.
    4. 4We send you a short job summary and handle the follow-up questions.

Want to try it on a few jobs?

We're looking for a small number of Cornwall and Devon installers to run a handful of jobs with first. Get in touch, and we'll talk through which stages would help you most.

    Book a call

We recommend tariffs and settings, and the customer makes the final choice. This is not financial advice. Savings depend on the system, how the home uses power and energy prices. Half-hourly tariffs need a working smart meter. Tap Electric setup needs a supported charger, which we check first.
