EV charging for campsites and holiday parks in Cornwall & Devon

Manta Power installs EV chargers for campsites, caravan parks and holiday parks across Cornwall and Devon. Guests pay per kWh by app or QR code, and camping and caravan parks qualify for the OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme, covering up to 75% of costs, up to £500 per socket.

    Typical setup

    • Parks usually start with 4 to 10 sockets in a central car park or by reception.
    • 7kW chargers suit guests staying several nights; a car fills up overnight.
    • 22kW helps on busy changeover days when many guests want a quick top-up.
    • Rapid (DC) charging is rarely needed on a park, unless you also serve passing traffic.

    How the money works

    • Guests start and pay for charging through an app or QR code — no staff time needed.
    • You set the price per kWh. Typical guest tariffs are 35p to 45p per kWh.
    • Your margin is that price minus your electricity cost.

OZEV grant for campsites and holiday parks

    • OZEV Workplace Charging Scheme for small accommodation businesses (up to 249 staff, including hotels, holiday accommodation and camping/caravan parks).
    • Covers up to 75% of costs, to a maximum of £500 per socket.
    • Up to 40 sockets per business, and guests may use the chargers.
    • Open until 31 March 2027.
